context
Cook is a CtoC catering and reservation web service, designed from the ground up. One individual could ask another to cook for him, at home.
design process
It all started by understand the client goals and identify who users could be and how to reply to their needs. Designed for the Canadian market, we’ve worked with feedbacks from surveys clients provided.
We defined multiples personas, that would become for us the possible user types, and drawn users journeys around it. Then followed the wireframing phase to give form to our assumptions and the prototyping to have a view and a flavour of what users might experience.
goals
The service is a platform that allows a person to cook for someone else (CtoC). A person can be asked to cook for many situations. It can be for a diner or an commercial event. A client can also be a cook, not just ordering dishes from other cooks, and cook at someone else’s home or event.
What restaurants are offering in general is quite common and not always affordable. For example, many asian restaurants would serve the same sort of dishes, and to find great african cuisine is quick rare. With Cook it would be possible to access a wild range of dishes as cooks have diverse backgrounds and origins, which would allow to enjoy meals that ar not commonly served in restaurants and make culinary discoveries without breaking the bank.
Cook offers the opportunity for someone that like to cook to practice and earn from it, combining the useful and the enjoyable, or for someone that wants to take multiple jobs, to have a source of income with cooking.
